This summer, Alex Rauter is planning to climb seven mountains in the Zugspitz area (Tyrol, Austria) and fly down again aboard his NOVA Ibex, all within 24 hours.

Non-stop and on foot he will cover an altitude difference of 8848 metres, which is the same as climbing Everest from sea level!

The 37-year-old snowboard instructor and mountain bike guide has been a passionate paraglider pilot since 1986, and this venture comes after taking part in several endurance competitions. A film is to be made of the project.

He will start in Bichlbach at midnight, on a date that will depend on weather forecasts.
