The company say feedback from pilots is very positive. “They are all impressed by the excellent performance, especially against wind accelerated, where the Pure is outstanding and still easy to fly”.
The Pure is a three-liner and uses unsheathed race lines throughout. Nylon wires in the nose and the backs of the ribs support the shape and optimise airflow in the critical areas, while quarter ribs at the trailing edge provide a cleaner separation.
The Pure has a new aerofoil design, with stiffened areas at the front and the back that make it more stable, and more flexible areas within the wing for agility and good climbing performance.
Air Design say the Pure has a very easy launch behaviour and precise handling. It is very stable, even at speed, and when collapses do occur the wing is easy to control.
The Pure is available in four sizes, for all-up weights between 70 and 120kg.
It comes in three standard colours, or you can select your own. Email the team to discuss this.
