French pilot Stephane Drouin has (provisionally) broken the paraglider world record for speed over a triangular course of 200 km with a flight from Aime in the Haute Tarentaise on 24 May.
Flying a Macpara Magus, he logged an average speed of 25.8 km/hr. If ratified this breaks Klaus Heimhofer’s 23.5 km/hr flight set in June 2000.
Record claims can be seen on the FAI’s website.
