Dudek have updated the Snake, their expert slalom wing. The Snake XX is built for agility and performance and is a demanding wing for experienced slalom pilots.
The company say they focussed on performance with the Snake XX. A sharknose profile, Flexi Edge leading edge rods, more cells and a modified arc characterise the wing, and together Dudek say they have improved launch characteristics, high speed stability, fuel economy and agility.
The Snake XX is a four-liner, as Dudek say this allows for precise pressure distribution throughout the reflex range. The B riser is anchored on a pulley, to reduce the effort required for the speed system. It has both 2D and PA (Power Attack, or Paap Kolar system) steering systems, and a mix of sheathed and unsheathed lines. The sail is made from laser-cut Porcher Skytex.
The Snake XX is available in the ‘elemental’ colour schemes (representing air, water, earth and fire) and five sizes: 15, 16, 18, 20 and 22m2. Dudek recommend choosing the size that gives you a load of between 6.5 and 9kg/m2.
