GIN have released a new lightweight airbag harness for beginner, leisure and cross-country pilots. At around 3.5kg, GIN say the Gingo Airlite is one of the lightest harnesses of its type.
GIN say it’s a high quality and versatile airbag harness, which is light and compact and made from abrasion-resistant honeycomb ripstop fabric.
The harness has an underseat reserve, and an airbag with a pre-inflation system and a foam mini-mousse insert to ensure it is at least partially inflated at all times. GIN say it offers “excellent” shock protection (tested under 20G).
Improved back support, an ergonomic seat with airmesh fabric and well-balanced harness geometry combine to keep the pilot comfortable on long flights, and an “exceptionally clean and wrinkle-free” profile, the result of advanced shaping and manufacturing technologies, reduces drag.
The Gingo Airlite’s seatplate is made from GIN Triplex, a composite structure that the company say is around 50% lighter than a wooden seat plate but with extended durability. They add that:
