Custom Air’s CE certified paramotor helmet can be supplied with a GT-3 radio, and an ANR (automatic noise reduction) system, as used by helicopter pilots.

The ANR blocks out engine noise by playing the opposite sound through another internal speaker.

How ANR works

The helmet has a vented fibreglass shell and padded velvet liner, removable tinted visor and standard ear muffs to block out the higher pitch noises.

The push to talk radio system has an ipod input for those who like music while they fly, and a flexible Dynamic Noise Cancelling (DNC) boom mic.

The top-of-the-range version of the helmet, with the radio, DNC mic and ANR system, retails at £310.
