After the task was cancelled on 1 February, there was great relief amongst pilots at the paragliding World Cup Superfinal when 2 February turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. A 95.725km task was run and 76 made goal.

Marco Littame of Italy just deprived Luc Armant of his third task win of the event, and Petra pipped Seiko to first position in the women’s race, thanks to a few extra leadout points, when both registered the same time on landing.

No change again in the overall women’s listings (Petra, Seiko, Regula) or the overall country listings, which is still France, then Switzerland, then Italy.

Spalti are still the top team, but second and third places have changed, with Porcher Sport in second and team Ozone having pushed the two Niviuk teams out of the top three rankings … but there are still two potential tasks to go.

Hopefully this won’t cause too much confusion as yesterday we reported that task seven had been cancelled, but the PWC’s website has called the 2 February task number seven also, and so are we:
