Splashdown over Lake Geneva as 12 of the world’s best acro pilots go head-to-head

Horacio Llorens won the Sonchaux Acro Show held in Villeneuve over the weekend of 19-21 August. He walked away chuffed – not only was he smiling but he got a cheque for CHF2,000 for his trouble too.

The event is in its second year and attracted 25,000 visitors to watch the action. The format is simple: the 12 best acro pilots in the world are invited to attend, along with the four best Swiss pilots.

There are video screens, a non-stop commentary, numerous other aerial displays of wingsuiters and the rest, plus best of all a raft just 50m from the spectators.
