Skyman’s new EN-B CrossCountry is a lightweight vol-bivouac paraglider, an evolution of the CrossAlps, as flown by Toma Coconea in the 2015 Red Bull X-Alps.
The lightweight equipment specialists say the CrossCountry is safer and higher performing than the CrossAlps, and is certified EN/LTF B (whereas the CrossAlps was EN C). They say it doesn’t push the boundaries of the class, either.
Lightweight materials including Dominico D10 fabric (25g/m2), and ceramic rings instead of pulleys in the speed system and brakes, have kept the weight down to just 3.6kg (XS).
It’s a three-liner, and features Skyman’s ‘launch aid’ to keep it in place on icy launches.
Certified EN/LTF B in four sizes, XS-L, 23, 275, 27 and 29m² (flat areas).
