Nova have released a new version of their school wing. The Prion 6 has 35 cells, an aspect ratio of 4.9 and offers “easy handling, good performance and high passive safety”.
Nova describe it as a good-natured wing with easy take-off and landing characteristics, with the performance for cross-country flights. The cell count and aspect ratio are both slightly more than the Prion 5’s (33 and 4.4), improving its performance.
They say the mini ribs aid performance while lowering the brake pressure, and mid-cell links in the centre of each cell stabilise the leading edge in flight contributing to its “exceptional” collapse-resistance. Vector tape and diagonal ribs also increase the shape stability.
The leading-edge rods run as continual loops through the rod channel, which reduces the number of seams. Colour-coded 20mm risers and sheathed lines ensure it is easy to handle.
The Prion 6 is certified EN/LTF-A in five sizes for 55kg to 130kg all up.
