New threat to free flying in southern England

Monday 16 April, 2012

If it gets the go-ahead, a proposed new parachute drop zone near Andover in Hampshire could threaten hang gliding and paragliding activity at Combe Gibbett, one of England’s premier cross country sites.

The London Skydive Centre who are behind the plans, have produced a consultation document to give other users of the airspace a chance to raise any concerns and objections. This should be done by emailing Christian Ivory before 27 April 2012.

The document details the location of the proposed drop zone, and the timetable for parachuting activity within the zone in 2012 and 2013.
