France’s Jean-Marc Caron has won the pre-Europeans that took place in St Andre-les-Alpes from 31 August to 7 September. He flew a Niviuk Peak 2 in the serial class event, and beat David Gallarte (ES, Ozone Mantra M4) and Andreas Malecki (DE, Ozone Mantra M4) into second and third places.
Seiko Fukuoka-Naville, flying an M4, was first woman and a very respectable 16th overall.
Only three tasks were possibe in the week, which suffered from wind and rain in the intervening days, and the tasks were shortish and racy, at 65.1, 61.3 and 74.2km.
