Icaro Sitta hike-and-fly paraglider – EN D

3 June, 2015

Icaro Sitta

Icaro have announced a forthcoming new mountain wing for hike-and-fly pilots, mountaineers and “regular pilots wanting a small and light fun wing”: the Sitta.

Derived from the EN-D freestyle wing, the Aquila, but lighter, the Sitta has a simple line plan and “featherlight” canopy, with super-easy take-off, great thermalling ability and stability in flight, say Icaro.

Its handling is precise and playful, so it will suit those who prefer gentle morning descents as well as those whose bag is wingovers and loops.

The Sitta is made from the new generation Porcher Skytex 32, and it is scheduled for release in July 2015.

It will be available in sizes 18,20 and 22, and is certificated EN D. (Icaro say all manoeuvres were EN A except for spiral dive).
