Skywalk Guide and Guest harnesses

Skywalk's new tandem harnesses are built for intensive use

26 February, 2025

Skywalk’s Guide and Guest harnesses, first unveiled at the 2024 Coupe Icare, have been designed to meet the needs of professional tandem pilots. As a result, they’re built for intensive use. One of their unique features is the ability to replace the bottom of the harness if it gets too many scrapes on landing.

The harnesses feature Skywalk’s Permair back protection system, which Skywalk say offers maximum protection during the take-off phase and at the same time enables a compact packing size. Features of the Guide (pilot harness) include an ergonomic seat shell and specially designed leg loops to ensure an ideal sitting position behind the passenger.

There’s also a quiver for a camera and selfie stick which can easily be accessed with one hand. Two additional storage compartments provide sufficient space for equipment that needs to be readily to hand during flight.

The Guest meanwhile has a minimalist design, concentrating on the essentials and weighing just 1.85kg. The chest strap is hooked directly into the main karabiners virtually eliminating the possibility of incorrectly fastening. Skywalk say the geometry of the harness also makes it much easier for the passenger to sit down.

The Guide harness is available in two sizes, and the Guest is one size only and adjusts to fit passengers from 140cm to 198cm tall.
