France clean up as new competition format aims to create airtime friendly “Pac-Man in the sky”
France filled all the top podium spots at the new FAI Endurance Paramotor World Championships in August, flying away with gold medals in all the categories: individual and team solo-footlaunch and solo-trikes.
Romain Mauban (Vittorazi Moster EFI / Dudek Warp 2) won gold in the hotly contested solo footlaunch category, which saw 50 pilots competing and Glen Michelland (Liberty Paramotors Polini / Ozone Viper 6) won gold in the individual trikes category (PL1), which saw 29 pilots competing. In the team events, it was 1, 2, 3 for France, GB, Germany in the footlaunch category and France, Qatar, Poland in the trikes.
Held in Kent, England from 3-10 August the competition attracted 79 pilots from 15 countries with the promise that there’d be more airtime, less ground work. Billed as the first “Endurance” world championships, the new format of competition...
