Arduino Persello claims 280km out-and-return paragliding world record

Arduino Persello has filed a claim with the FAI for a world record out-and-return. He flew 280km out and return on 27 June 2012 from Sorica in Slovenia.

The route took him to Longarone in Italy and back. He was in the air for nearly 11 hours.

It betters the current record, also held by Arduino, by 16km

The FAI claim states:
