We all know that you don’t need a top-end glider to give you a top-end flight.
In fact, the opposite can often be the case: put an inexperienced pilot on a high performing wing and they won’t necessarily have a good time or go very far.
So when last year Skywalk boss Armin Harich flew 300km on a low-end EN B, the Tequila 4, he was proving a point: it’s the pilot, not the letter after the wing that does the work.
The Arriba 3 is the lightweight version of that 300km low-end EN B, the Tequila 4. It’s the same glider, just made with lighter materials. Sounds like a good package.
Taking it out to test in the southern French Alps we took it hike-and-fly in the local hills and then off to Gourdon for some bigger XC to find out how it performs.
Short answer: smiles on landing.
