The British Paragliding Open Gemona, Italy is on from 1-7 June 2014.
The competition will see 130 pilots converge on Gemona del Friuli, in the Alps to the north east of Venice, close to the border with Slovenia.
Classic routes from the site, which has a new tarmac road to the top, include the 100km out and return to Slovenia and back. Gemona-Kobala-Gemona and further is regularly flown.
