‘Built for ambition’ – Triple Seven unveil high EN-B

Plus – you can buy it online, direct

5 November, 2026, by Cross Country

The Slovenian manufacturer, Triple Seven have unveiled the new R-light 4, a lightweight high EN-B “designed to make ambitious XC flying both accessible and rewarding”.

They claim its “impressive performance, intuitive handling, and reassuring flight characteristics”, will make it “easier than ever to explore further with confidence”.

Starting at just 3.4 kg, the R-light 4 is based on the Rook 4 and combines advanced lightweight construction, refined aerodynamics, and precise handling in a compact package. It has an aspect ratio of 5.75, towards the upper end of the EN-B range.

“From effortless inflation to intuitive handling and efficient XC performance, every detail of the R-light 4 is designed to make high-level performance feel accessible, manageable, and enjoyable throughout the flight,” say Triple Seven.

Alongside the launch of the new glider, Triple Seven also announced that pilots can now buy Triple Seven gliders online, direct from the company.

The wings are keenly priced for direct sales, with the new R-light 4 (ML) listed at €2,960 in Europe, including local sales tax. High EN-B gliders from other manufacturers have typical list prices of €4,000-5,000, including local sales tax.

Across Europe and the USA paragliders are typically sold through a dealer network, which gives pilots peace of mind when it comes to after-sales service, but can mean higher prices as dealer margins need to be built in. Pricing a high-B at less than €3,000 will be seen by many in the industry as an attempt to disrupt that dealership model.

The Slovenian manufacturer say the move to direct sales is intended to give pilots more choice, particularly in regions where access to a local dealer is limited.

The glider is the first new EN-B from Triple Seven since the release of the Rook 4 in 2004. The company has been noticeably quiet on the paragliding front since 2025, taking time instead to launch Triple Seven Kites.

Triple Seven say the new R-light 4 features a refined B/C control system with floating pulleys. “It delivers a smooth, precise pitch control and efficient glide management throughout accelerated flight,” they say. “The system lets pilots actively manage the wing’s angle of attack while maintaining a direct, intuitive connection to the canopy.”

At the heart of the system are “PolarPro” pulleys, which come from the world of sailing, say Triple Seven. “These lightweight, low-friction components ensure smooth operation and efficient load transfer without adding unnecessary weight or complexity.”

The R-light 4 is constructed with D10 canopy fabric and Porcher Skytex 40/32 hard finish. The risers are made from 7mm webbing and feature high-strength soft links to reduce overall weight.

The overall line architecture has been completely updated to maximise stability and performance. It features winglets and an increased arc which Triple Seven say helps to make banking smooth and progressive.

The R-light 4 is available in four sizes, from weights of 70kg to 115kg.
