Two brothers won the Bornes to Fly hike and fly race held in Annecy, France over the long weekend of 1-4 May.
Gaspard and Basile Petiot crossed the line together at 8.40pm on the Saturday having taken off an hour earlier from the last turn point. They used convergence in the valley to help them land at only 400m from the goal line – handing them the competition after only two days racing.

Martin Beaujouan and Vincent Sprungli also took off late on Saturday but landed shorter, meaning they had to delay crossing the goal line until the Sunday morning. The race covered 100km as the crow flies, 178km on foot.
