Red Bull X-Alps

The Red Bull X-Alps 2011 athlete list was announced today. Surprise entrants include ‘Mad’ Mike Kung from Austria, who is entering for the first time.

Applications for the 2011 Red Bull X-Alps paragliding adventure race, have opened and athletes have until 30 September 2010 to apply.

Forget blue skies and 4,000 m cloudbases, the Red Bull X-Alps is about bleeding feet, blisters, buckled knees and rain. Are you tough enough? Ed Ewing spoke to some of the athletes to find out what it takes to keep running…

The Red Bull X-Alps 2009 has arrived!

Showing their form days before the start of the Red Bull X-Alps on July 19 in Salzburg, Thomas de Dorlodot (BE), Ramon Morrilas (ES) and Pál Takáts (HU) finished first, second and third respectively at the El Yelmo Festival Mountain Race in Andalucia, Spain on 4 July.
