Thursday 17 June, 2010

Images from The Path of the Condor filmThe Patagonia-based production company Al Taco Project that produced the documentary film ‘The Path of the Condor‘, has recently signed an agreement with Discovery Networks Asia Pacific to air the movie on its Animal Planet channel.

The documentary, directed by Christian Holler, will be shown in Japan, China, India, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, The Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan from July 2010.

Christian Holler and his team are very proud to have produced a documentary of international quality, which has been 100% made in Bariloche, Argentina and also to have made the first step to export movies from Patagonia to the rest of the world.

For this independent company, this is not only an historic opportunity to show The path of the Condor in such an important television market with so many viewers, but also the beginning of a relationship with one of the top nature broadcasters in the world.

Christian Holler commented, “Patagonia and its environment will be seen by an amazing number of people. It is a also a dream come true to be able to take our conservation message to the world”

The documentary is narrated by the American actor Viggo Mortensen and features ornithologist Lorenzo Sympson and paraglider pilot Martín Vallmitjana.

If you fall outside of these regions and won’t benefit from the TV viewings, you can still watch the film as it is available on DVD from XCshop.com
