Skywalk have released the Arak2, their semi-light mid-B “multi-tool”. It is aimed at newcomers to XC and “pleasure-oriented and safety-conscious pilots”.
Skywalk say the new version has significantly more performance than the original Arak, while having more passive safety and being just as easy to fly.
Its smooth inflation and easy launch characteristics come with the original Arak’s sporty, direct handling which “makes flying dynamic manoeuvres a lot of fun!” The brake pressure is light to begin with, ramping up as you go deeper with the controls, and you get plenty of warning as you approach the stall point. It has Skywalk’s characteristic Jet Flaps, which they say softens the stall behaviour.
For flying on bar it has a Speed Control (rear-riser steering) system. The Arak2 is available in six sizes and three colours.
