Scandinavian paragliding record smashed

Wednesday 9 July, 2008

On 3 July 2008 the Norwegian and Scandinavian paragliding XC record was well and truly shattered.

Daniel Bjørkås (Advance Boomerang 5) flew 235.6km from Trysil near the Swedish border to Bjorli in about 7 hours.

This new paraglider record exceeds the old one by 80km, and even beats the current hang glider figure by 30km.
