Gin Gliders‘ new speedriding paragliders, the Nano 2010 and Fluid 2010, have been in production since November and Gin say they have been a great success.

The Nano 2010 is the fourth generation of Gin’s ‘discovery’ speedriding wing, which has been designed with safety, ease of use and fun at the forefront. The company say it’s very popular with speedriding schools and recreational speedriders. With the 2010 version they have made the turn more ‘skiable’, without parasitic lift: lift is achieved clearly and obviously when you decide.

The Fluid 2010 is for “experienced riders and experts, suited to the needs of those at the highest level”. Gin say it offers an extremely wide glide ratio range, from the steepest to the flatest, and has seen its first success in competitions with Gin test pilot Francois Bon coming second in the Columbia Speedflying Pro, Les Arcs, and the Fluid also securing 5th, 6th, 8th and 10 places.

In addition to these two speedriding wings, Gin also make the Bobcat, Yak and Yeti speed flying / mini paragliders. See Gin’s speed glider and mini glider comparison chart.

In November 2009 Stuart Holmes (GB) climbed one of the most beautiful Himalayan mountains, Ama Dablam (6,856 m) and flew off on a Gin Yak mini paraglider.
