UK-based hang gliding company, Avian, is up for sale.
Steve Elkins, Avian MD and designer, started the company over 25 years ago. He says:
We are looking for a potential buyer with engineering know-how and a maybe a desire to do something totally different from their current job. Being able to design, test and fly your own aircraft is the privilege of a very few.
Avian, who are based in the Peak District, use an integrated fully-digital sail design and laser-cutting process, offering excellent production accuracy.
I will be passing Avian on in a strong position with its best and most extensive range of gliders, including the Evo 3, Puma, Rio 2 and Fly.
There are several other projects, such as a protoype SSDR trike and wing, in the pipeline.
