Skyline’s competition glider, the Hawk, has passed DHV shock and load tests. Designed as an EN D wing, Skyline say its best features are its high performance, speed range and safety.
Its brake perssure starts very light, but quickly increases making it easy to perform either flat or very tight turns and making it handle very precisely, effortlessly, but with enough pressure to give that “high performance” feeling.
The company says that unacelerated collapses are unspectacular and reopening is smooth, “like an accordion”, thanks in part to a semi-open cell near the wingtip. Push the accelerator, Skyline say, and you will feel the real joy of the Hawk, as it gathers speed and pulls away, cutting through turbulence and remaining stable even to 75% bar, giving other competition gliders a run for their money.
