Powerplay’s Sting 2 is an updated version of their Sting dual paragliding / paramotoring wing. It’s certified to German standards for powered flight, and LTF/EN A or B for free flight (B with extended speedbar travel).
In its EN A configuration, the Sting 2 is suitable for complete beginners, say Powerplay, but with the extended speedbar travel it becomes a mid-range EN B wing.
The modern construction uses 3D shaping for the leading edge and plastic wire reinforcements, and miniribs on the trailing edge. The trimmer-risers have two hangpoints.
The launch aand landing behaviour under power are very easy, say Powerplay, and the Sting 2 has a very high level of passive safety, with long brake travel and balanced handling. Its good roll damping makes it suitable for powered trikes.
The Sting 2 is currently available in three sizes, S, M and L, and four colour schemes.
