PWC Ager 2015 podium (overall)
Pierre Remy won the Ager round of the PWC 2015 which finished on 6 September, topping out just two points ahead of Xevi Bonet.
Seiko Fukuoka-Naville was the first-placed woman and 35th overall, with Keiko Hiraki and Atsuko Yamashita taking second and third spots.
The event saw four tasks scored, ranging from 42km (taking the winners just 56 minutes) to 95km in distance. Ozone wings dominated the results tables, with Enzo 2s taking the top seven places.
GIN Boomerang 10 pilots were on tenterhooks during the event, when they heard that the PWCA had been informed by Ozone test pilots that, in their opinion, the Boomerang 10 may not satisfy all of the requirements for CCC class. The DHV reacted quickly, retesting the wing and submitting video evidence to the PWCA that showed the wing did, in fact comply, and GIN pilots in Ager let out a collective sigh of relief. The incident was described by comp pilot Andre Rainsford (SA) on his blog as a “storm in a teaspoon“.
