21 June, 2024

The Paragliding World Cup will be in action again from Saturday 22 June for a week in the skies of Andalucia, Spain. This is the second PWC round of 2023.

El Yelmo, famous for its international air festival and clips of flying from the Mudéjar Castle, is a renowned flying site in the heart of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park. The site offers “a diverse terrain of high mountains, hills, and flats, all covered in an endless carpet of olive trees. With ceilings reaching up to 4,000 metres above sea level, pilots can expect excellent flying opportunities for exciting and tactical tasks.”

The PWC said, “The upcoming competition is expected to showcase fierce competition between experienced pilots such as Baptise Lambert, the winner of the 2023 PWC in Pegalajar, and local pilots who have honed their skills in the Europeans. Honorin Hamard is also joining the battle for the podium. Additionally, rising talents are eager to compete for victory.”

For live tracking, full results and video clips visit the PWCA website or follow their Instagram channel and, “stay tuned for a week of thrilling action in the Andalucian sky.”
