The West Australian Paragliding Esperance Waggas beach & dune flying festival runs from 9-14 April 2009. $ 100.00 entry fee includes transport from Esperance to flying sites. Organisers promise lots of free flying and fun!
The event’s main objectives are
1. To encourage pilots whatever their level and facilitate opportunities for learning ground handling, dune flying, weak and strong wind take offs and low level flying skills.
2. To develop the form of beach dune/ free flying as tool to teach safe ridge soaring techniques above soft sand and no obstructions (Other than rocky ridges and trees)
3. To facilitate an opportunity for very experienced pilots to fly with like minded pilots and learn new low level manoeuvres through “expression sessions”.
4. To foster a culture of free flying with other PG pilots and enjoy incredibly unique contours and beautiful surroundings in and around Esperance
