Wings Over Wasatch are looking for a manager for their hang gliding school at Point of the Mountain, Utah, to start in Spring 2012.
The school’s owner Ryan Voight wrote on the Oz Report:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual that loves to share the sport of hang gliding with others, and whose primary focus is creating new pilots.
The new school manager will be responsible for managing and operating all aspects of the flight school, including:
· Fielding phone calls
· Scheduling lessons and tandem flights
· Organising and tracking school paperwork, waivers, student packets, etc
· Providing instruction to new and returning customers
· Coordinating the maintenance of school equipment
· Providing weekly updates with Wings Over Wasatch management
Candidates must be a current US Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (USHPA) member with a minimum of an Advanced (H4) rating and with an instructor rating.
They must consistently offer customer service oriented professional flight instruction and prioritise safety first at all times.
Ryan adds that the right candidate would have a wealth of understanding of weather and micro-meteorology in order to accurately evaluate safe training conditions based on students’ current proficiency. They would need to be self-motivated and work independently without direct supervision.
The pay is described as “generous”, and is an hourly rate for instruction, plus commission on equipment sold.
If you’re interested, email Ryan with a list of your qualifications and a bit about yourself.
