Luc Armant set a new French record on 3 May flying 369.83km from a small site north of Paris.
He took advantage of strong north east wind to fly to the Atlantic coast, landing after almost 10 hours in the air to the north of La Rochelle.
He was one of half a dozen French pilots to fly 300km or more from the site that day. A seventh, Remi Montginot, flew 299.99km while several others flew more than 200km.
The site used was Jeufosse, a small flatland site only used as a launchpad in strong NE XC conditions.
It sealed an epic 10 days for Luc, who had also flown one 237km FAI triangle and one 245km flat triangle in the days before his open distance monster.
As far as we know it is the longest foot-launched flight ever flown in Europe. In June 2013 Mike Goncharov-Goryanskiy flew 412km in the Ukraine after launching from tow, although it was not ratified by the FAI as a European record.
Luc, who is a designer for Ozone, flew his Enzo 2 for all his flights.
