Flymaster will soon be shipping their new tracker. The sturdy, water-resistant unit can be used for multiple activities. It offers worldwide coverage, second-by-second resolution and a “huge” battery life.
For a limited time it’s available at a discounted price: €99 with a two-year contract and a €4.99 monthly subscription charge (“Fixed plan”); or €149 with no contract and €3.99/ month (“Flexible plan”) – you pay just the months you need it.
Flymaster say the tracker unit was developed using the same technology as in the LiveSD and GpsSD+ instruments. It has an SOS button and automatic accident-detect system, and its tracklogs are accepted by online leagues.
The Tracker features a pressure sensor, so it’s flight log can be used to generate IGC data which includes the compulsory barometric altitude. Also built in is an accelerometer and RF module that can comunicate with the Heart-G or TAS Probe.
The unit’s casing is high-strength polycarbonate with a rubber exterior, and Flymaster say it is extremely robust and water resistant – ideal for kitesurfing, mountain biking, running etc as well as flying.
