Altitude with Attitude is a series of fly-ins, organised by Kirsten Seeto for female pilots in Australia rated PG2 or above.
The Rainbow Beach fly-in is a three-day fly-in for up to nine participants. Organisers say,
“We will use any non-flyable times to talk about instruments and weather forecasting tools, so bring your instruments and questions with you!”
The entry fee includes food and accommodation.

“We will be flying whenever it is flyable so arrive ready to fly early Friday. Its unlikely to be flyable the entire weekend so we will use the non-flyable times to talk about instruments and weather forecasting tools.”

The Bright Open is a 7-day cross-country paragliding competition that will be held from 12-18 January 2019.
The competition is HGFA AAA and FAI Cat 2, and open to all pilots with a minimum of an Australia PG4 rating or equivalent.
The Flow Corryong Open 2019 is held at Mount Elliot, “one of the best alpine flying sites in Australia” and just a few thermal glides from Mt Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest mountain.
Organisers add, “The valley system makes the flying spectacular and the retrieves easy and quick”.
85 pilots maximum and no open0class wings allowed.

The Dubbo fly-in is a towing event for up to seven participants. Organisers say,
“We will be in the tow paddock from mid morning till late afternoon. Breakfast will be briefing time, dinner will be debrief. We will start and finish in Dubbo but where we fly will be up to the weather-gods!”
The entry fee is to be confirmed, but will include meals. You will be sleeping under the stars!

Wings out West 2019 is Australia’s only ground-tow paragliding competition which takes place from 13-17 March 2019 in the central NSW flatlands.
A small, select gathering of just 35 pilots will be able to compete, and at the time of writing there is only one place left!
Australia’s popular paragliding season-opener, the Canungra Cup is back. This year’s dates are 19-26 October.
The Canungra Cup is an eight-day, FAI 2 cat. comp, with scores counting towards pilots’ WPRS scores. Pilots must be IPPI4 rated or equivalent to take part, and need to be members or temporary members of the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia.
The AU$400 (Early Bird) or AU$450 entry fee includes retrieves and airport transfers.
This year’s Bright Open will be organised by Wally Arcidiacono in conjunction with the Australian Paragliding Squad. Members of the squad will be responsible for various aspects of the competition organisation prior to the competition start date, and any profits made will be directed back to the Australian Squad for training and coaching purposes.
Mentoring will be available, and the event will be run in parallel with the Gundowring Open using Mystic, Gundowring, Ray’s Hill, Mt Emu and Tawonga Gap sites.
