The 9th Mosel Paragliding Open 2018 takes place from 27-30 April 2018 at Zeltingen-Rachtig, Germany.
“For those who are unfamiliar with the area, the famous Moselle is running down from France through Luxembourg until it joins the mighty Rhine. The Moselle twists and turns its way between Trier and Koblenz along Germany’s most beautiful river valleys, exactly where our takeoffs are located – at the steep wineyards of the Moselle, which allows us short ways for any wind direction.
Safe flatland flying with tricky technical handicaps because we are surrounded by some airspace. Apart from the big SW take-off at Klüsserath, our take-offs are pretty small. That is the reason our competition is limited to a maximum of 85 Pilots”.

There are places for up to 40 participants in the Swedish West Cup which takes place from 28 April – 1 May at Falköping.
“We hope that the classic hill of Ålleberg near Falköping will be flyable and that will be the HQ. But we can choose early in the morning to change flying site from day to day and use different flying sites each day for tasks as well as we might even use towing to maximise flying (so bring your towing bridles!)
“We especially encourage comp-beginners to join us, as all tasks hopefully will be made downwind or with a slight crosswind so everyone will have a decent chance of reaching goal or at least get away on nice XC flights.”
All participants must get to the take-off every day by their own means.
The first round of the Serbian XC Paragliding league, and also the first FAI cross-country event in Serbia for the 2018 season, the Vršac Open will be held from 28 April – 2 May 2018.
