The 2017 GIN Wide Open takes place in Krushevo, Macedonia, from 5-12 August.
Registration for the limited places is online, and will be open from 29 January for one week. The successful applicants will be notified after this date.
A second competition, sponsored by Naviter, will be run by the same team, in the same vein as the main GWO, the following week. Applications for this event can be made, with the same registration window, on the GWO website.
The Naviter Open is a friendly paragliding XC comp, run in the same vein as, and directly following, the GIN Wide Open, in Krushevo, Macedonia from 13-19 August 2017.
Why a NEW competition?
The GIN Wide Open has become SO popular that for every pilot that we accept, we’re turning several away. By creating an additional competition we hope to give you a better chance of grabbing one of the much sought-after places. The Naviter Open is a competition in its own right, but will share many philosophies with the GIN Wide Open.
The venue for 2017 is Kruševo, Macedonia. Registration will open on January 29th 2017 at 14:00 CET (13:00 UK time, 14:00 Central Europe)

The first Ozone Krushevo Open friendly paragliding competition will take place from 22-28 July 2018.
“The Krushevo Open is designed in the spirit and model of the Legendary Ozone Chabre Open, a stress-free paragliding cross-country competition with an emphasis on fun and learning through in-depth XC coaching and setting achievable tasks.
It is aimed primarily at pilots with some XC experience, who want to get more into competitions or further hone their XC skills. Daily briefings and de-briefings by Jocky Sanderson set the stage for a week of intense learning in a perfect location for fun XC flying”.
Scores will be categorised by wing classes, Fun, Recreation and Sport, which are defined by the wing’s aspect ratio. There is also a Rookie, and Women’s class.
