Gin Gliders

In brief

Gin Gliders was founded in 1998 by paraglider designer and competition pilot Gin Seok Song. It is now one of the largest and most established manufacturers in the world, with a full range of free-flight paragliders, paramotor wings, mini wings, harnesses, reserve parachutes and accessories.

Paragliders range from the Bolero, an easy EN A beginner’s wing, to the competition class Boomerang series (CCC). In between sit a dozen other paragliders suitable for all aspects of the sport.

What they make

EN A: Bolero 7 (beginners) and Yeti 5 (hike-and-fly)

EN B: The Atlas 2 (easy intermediate), Calypso (lightweight intermediate), Avid (intermediate), Explorer 2 (lightweight intermediate).

EN C: The Bonanza 2 (XC) and Camino (lightweight XC)

EN D: Leopard (high performance two-liner) and Puma (lightweight high performance two-liner)

CCC: Boomerang 12, a top-performing two-line racing machine

Paramotor wings: Gin has a range of five paramotor gliders, including the Pegasus (beginners),the Vantage 3 (intermediate), Falcon (advanced reflex), Carve (freestyle) and Condor 2 (tandem)

Acro: The Rage 2

Tandem: Fuse 3 (EN B) and Yeti Tandem 3 (lightweight tandem)

Harnesses: Gin currently list 16 harnesses on their website, from lightweight hike-and-fly harnesses to the top of the range competition harness, the Genie Race 4.

Accessories: Gin make reserves, bags, rucksacks and flight-wear.
