The 43rd New Zealand Hang Gliding Open Championship takes place in Murchison from 30 January to 6 February 2021.
Organisers say, “The main focus of the week will be to facilitate the Nationals Open Class for Intermediate and Advanced pilots. In conjunction with this we will also run a Sport Class for king-posted gliders. Novice pilots are welcome to attend and fly when conditions permit.
“It could be a cozy comp due to Covid, but it will be no less exciting. We’re booking the best weather this year by leveraging local knowledge and aligning the comp with Moon! Anyway its sure to be a great time had by all for a week of flying and camaraderie. Sign up and we’ll see you all there!”
