The Fiesta del Aire, the paragliding fly-in held each year in May in Mexico
Cross Country video reporter Herminio Cordidio has been out and about again. This time spending three days at Latin America’s biggest paragliding fly-in.
The Fiesta del Aire took place in Veracruz, Mexico, over the weekend of 6-9 May and attracted over 100 pilots. It was the 15th anniversary for the event, which is organised by Carlos Montellano and has the backing of the local government of the Orizaba Valley.
“Soaring in the morning and afternoons with strong thermals in the middle of the day,” is how Herminio described conditions. He added: “Cheap beer, delicious food and comfortable accommodation guarantees a lot of enjoyment.”
The Fiesta of the Air is held every year at the beginning of May.
