We’ve just seen a sneak preview of the harness Kortel have made for the Red Bull X-Alps 2015. It’s an uber-lightweight Kolibri, and it will be flown by Nelson de Freyman (FRA3) and Antoine Girard (FRA2) in the race in July 2015.
Apologies for the grain, but the picture shows a prototype of the harness which will be available in its final form soon – details will follow in issue 159.
We’ve been let in on some of its technical features, which include:
- Dyneema structure and light fabric
- Same geometry as the Kolibri, so offering the same comfort and usability with bent legs
- Huge back pocket and airbag protection.
- Pod with front-mounted reserve
- Soft links
- Three-step speedbar.
