Team 5's new rescue parachute, the Orange Cross
Team 5’s Orange Cross is a small, lightweight reserve parachute with fast opening times, good stability and a slow descent rate.
Despite a surface area of 39m2, by using 27g material and Dyneema lines Team 5 were able to make a compact reserve that weighs only 1.45kg in the S size, and 2.05kg in the L.
The canopy is a square shape with slits at the corners which they say makes it more stable and helps it to open quickly and efficiently.
Specially-designed loops make repacking simple.
The Orange Cross is available in three sizes, S, M and L for maximum weights of 100, 120 and 155kg.
