Supair’s Delight 3 is a “light and precise” cross-country pod harness with “optimised passive safety”. We have just received our review harness and are very impressed with the build quality and thoughtfulness that has gone into updating this already popular model.
The company say they have kept the features that made the Delight 2 one of the most flown XC harnesses, while improving the comfort and safety, in part by incorporating a new frame with improved back protection.
We notice that side support is much improved and that the back is stiffer too. Improved back protection gives 36G on the shock test, compared with 49G with the Delight 2. The reserve compartment is a totally new design, with an inner chute supplied. It uses two plastic rods to aid effective and simple release.
The Delight 3 will be available in sizes S, M, L and XL, with a choice of two sizes of carbon footplate. The M harness weighs 3.7 kg all-in, which includes the carbon seatplate, footplate, reserve pod, Bumpair and complete dorsal and under-seat protection.
