Task two of the Paragliding World Cup Superfinal in Valle de Bravo on 26 January saw a 91.7km race-to-goal task in strong and challenging conditions. 95 of the 114 pilots made goal.

Venezuelan Juan Carlos Becerra Gonzalez arrived in goal first in 2:27:31, sneaking to first place overall ahead of task one’s winner Hans Bollinger. Peter Neuenschwander (CH) arrived three minutes behind Juan.

The womens’ race is a very close-run affair at the moment, the top three all sitting within five ranking places of each other. Seiko Fukuoka-Naville was the first woman into goal on task two, arriving in 3:14:04 and 85th place overall. Regula and Petra arrived only seconds apart, taking 89th and 90th places respectively. In the overall rankings Petra is still on top after the second task.

Three reserve throws were reported during the task, but all three pilots landed without injury.
