Every competition paraglider pilot’s wait for Ozone’s replacement for R10, the most successful competition glider ever, is almost over: according to Ozone’s website, the R11 will be available for order this week.
The team say that after a winter of careful research, evaluation, and competition, they have achieved what they believe to be a very worthy successor to the R10.
They describe it as “a carefully evolved evolution”, and thanks to some highly innovative new (Patent Pending) features it has better speed, performance and comfort whilst being more stable and collapse-resistant, especially at high speeds.
They add that “On final glide nothing will touch the R11: we have increased the useable top speed by 10km/h. The R11 is the only choice for serious competitors”.
Despite its increased ease of use, Ozone reiterate that it is only for top level competition pilots. They are expecting a rush of orders, so have said they will give priority to World Championship team pilots.
