Ozone’s new anti-G-force device

Ozone's new Anti-G

Ozone have come up with a simple safety device to reduce the G-force experienced when spiral diving a paraglider.

With the drogue-chute-esque Anti-G , you can spiral away and achieve the same descent rate but experience less G-force effects, so reducing the chances of blackout and physical stress during descent.

Ozone say it is simple and easy to use, and is particularly effective for higher aspect ratio wings of all brands.

The Anti-G is fixed to the main attachment point of your harness on the side that you wish to spiral toward. To use it, just deploy the chute, and begin your spiral dive as normal. Although you will be able to enter a steep spiral dive, you will make fewer turns while maintaining a higher sink rate and experiencing far less G-Force. The Anti-G can be pulled back in again easily so that you can carry on normal flight afterwards.

The company say that most pilots will experience a massive 40% reduction in G-Force while using the Anti-G, and describe it as an “indispensible tool for pilots of all high aspect ratio wings”.
