Skywalk’s novice EN-A glider the Mescal4 is now also certified for powered flight with new hybrid risers.
The hybrid risers have dual mounting positions and trimmers and they can be fitted to your wing in under 20 minutes, say Skywalk, who add that flying the Mescal 4 under power is just as easy and fun as flying it free, and launch is super-easy.
For flying under power you can adjust the hybrid risers for the height of the motor suspension system, cruise speed, and torque compensation. This also ensures that the brake handles and lines are reachable with the use of all popular motors.
When flying without a motor, you should use the risers’ lower attachment loops and hook the trimmers into the karabiners to disable them.
The weight range for the three hybrid sizes S, M and L are:
S: 100-125kg with motor / 70-95kg free flying
M: 105-130kg with motor / 85-110kg free flying
L: 120-150kg with motor / 100-130kg free flying
